PROFILE

A product of the Hillsborough County Public School System, Mr. Cannon graduated with his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Murray State University located in Western Kentucky in 1992 where he attended on an Athletic Scholarship.  He later earned his Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teaching certificate from the University of South Florida, and shortly after his master’s, and educational specialist's degrees in educational leadership from Argosy University.  His favorite pastimes are spending time with his lovely wife and kids, watching college football, playing basketball, and mentoring children in his community.  The desire to make a change in a child's life prior to them entering the criminal justice system was the driving force behind his decision to enter the field of education.  Mr. Cannon describes himself as the John Wayne type, he can come into town and be mannerly, but don’t mess with him, don’t mistake his kindness for his weakness.

OBJECTIVE
My goal as an administrator is to provide students, faculty, and staff with a strong, positive; team oriented leader in their school community.  In addition to empowering students to become self-sufficient shareholders in society I seek to serve as a beacon of leadership by utilizing my diverse talents to create an environment where students, parents, faculty, and staff won’t accept anything less than behavioral and academic excellence.
